Theatercafe in Jena

The theater cafe in Jena is not only a popular meeting place for creative people but also regularly a meeting point for night owls who are enthusiastic about dancing. The restaurant is charming and lovingly furnished and there is a cozy patio in front of the door. The service at the self-service counter is great and the prices are also good.

I have known the Theatercfé for over 10 years. When I'm visiting family in Jena, this is my "living room". An ambience in which you can just feel comfortable and the staff are very nice. And you can eat really well there. The location across from Schiller's garden house is simply fantastic. Until next time.

We were waiting 30 mins to order drinks , but waiter was busy with clients which came after us! Doesn't recommend from me!

Ambience very nice! The kitchen performance, however, rather amateurish and unprofessional! Unloving presentation, bland taste and absolutely overpriced. The cook certainly never did a proper apprenticeship or never passed!

Ambience very nice. Drinks were quite expensive. So I was disappointed with the quality. Shots came in plastic cups. The wine spritzer consisted almost entirely of water. You have to order at the bar, empty glasses were not cleared. I know something like that from other hospitalities in Jena, my visit abroad was shocked.

For me it was nice, good food good drinks selection, but after a few people joined the group and did not want to drink right away, the wait staff became unnecessarily rude

Very nice atmosphere, quiet area. Very nice service. The chairs outside are uncomfortable for taller people, and you might be able to tell by the iced tea that it's fruit tea. Then the disappointment is not so great. I can not rate the food as we did not try it.

Can I only put everyone in the heart. The theater café has always been one of the most pleasant addresses in Jena. Very delicious house lemonades, good café, also regional wines and a great atmosphere.

Clocky ambience, you feel immediately comfortable, clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff. It was not the last time here.

Tasty food, nice relaxing atmosphere, friendly, English speaking staff. They have an espresso machine. Seems like a place where interesting bunch of people would hang out - Bohemic artsian modern day thinker/blogger type, but not only. Definitely coming back.

A cozy place, which I often use to meet with people to discuss things. Evenings take place occasionally.

Cozy café or bar next to Jena's Theaterhaus. Nice service and super cozy atmosphere. For a longer evening with friends or as a couple the perfect place. Whether inside or outside. Definitely worth a visit.

You can sit outside in good weather. Unfortunately, there are often things that are on the card, and then you are not happy anymore.

Very hip place in Jena. The deco is cosy. The people are very open. One drawback is that you have to order at the bar.
